Courtney is a PhD student at Boise State University in the Department of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering. He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Stony Brook University. His current research project involves understanding the mechanics of three-dimensional immune cell migration in environments with tumors that have been subjected to DNA damage. Throughout his years as an undergraduate and master’s student, he has mentored a wealth of high school and undergraduate students and aims to make an impact in both cancer research and inclusion in academia.
